For a second chance at life: Here’s what you can do
Every 12 minutes, someone in Germany is diagnosed with blood cancer; worldwide, it happens every 27 seconds. In 2019, I was one of them. Like many patients, I needed a stem cell transplant and was fortunate to find a donor in time. Because I know how crucial registration in the DKMS stem cell donor database is, I organized a registration event at my university with the support of DKMS. If you want to learn more about how to get involved, register, or understand the donation process, click below.

Mentoring Hessen
Mentoring Hessen is a joint initiative run by universities in the state of Hessen to support women in their careers in science and business. Through mentoring, training, and networking, young women are guided during crucial transitional phases, prepared for their professional paths, and empowered in their career ambitions. The program particularly focuses on female students in STEM fields. I participated in Mentoring Hessen for one year and continue to take part in networking and professional development events. During my mentoring year, I also gained valuable insights into another financial institution, which broadened my understanding of the industry.

We also go on international trips, like visiting our partner city Épinay-sur-Seine in France. In addition to performing, I contribute to the orchestra council, supporting the organization and planning of our projects.
